I have a day job.

My area of interest is portrait photography.

Inspiration comes from the legends; Robert Frank, Martin Parr, Cartier Bresson and Richard Avedon (to name only a few). My style of work is in constant evolution, at present, i am very much enjoying monochrome photography.

Born and bred in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, I have been lucky enough to travel the world. Northumberland will always be home to me, however, I have spent 2 years in Cumbria and I now live in New Zealand.

No matter what I try to tell you, I am not a cowboy.

Philosophy.

"Everyones a photographer these days ....” a phrase I blurt out time and time again. It seems that with the increasing availability of digital cameras and social media, that we don't have time to talk to each other any more and hold photo prints. We merely snap it, post it, and forget about it.

If I had to give one piece of photography advice in this digital age, it would be to stop, put your camera down, think, enjoy the momement, absorb your surroundings, then take the picture.

I appreciate the natural talent of others and I am always learning more about the formal aspects of photographic theory.
